1. 04-FLH Harley Davidson Starter.

Total throw distance equals .580"    Which means when the starter is disengaged to when it's  completely extended the total amount of movement is .580" Length of the starter shaft is 1.062" extending out from starter. Has 10-32 unf threads in the end of the shaft. Diameter of the pilot that fits into the transmission is 2.125" by .200" tall

2. Spyke Starter with 10-32 threaded shaft.

Total throw distance equals .525"    Which means when the starter is disengaged to when it's  completely extended the total amount of movement is .525" Length of the starter shaft is 1.035" extending out from starter. Has 10-32 unf threads in the end of the shaft. Diameter of the pilot that fits into the transmission is 2.112" by .155" tall

3. Starter and Transmissions.

Be sure to check that the starter pilot and the transmission pilot hole fit. We have seen cases were the transmission pilot hole was too small and the starter was not seating completely against the transmission. Resulting in the Jackshaft to be misaligned with the drive.
