04 American Iron Horse Bikes have the speedo pick-up mounted in the primary. It picks up the singal off the final drive pulley.

If you plan to install a open belt primary you will need to buy a standard transmission pick-up sensor and recalibrate your speedo. You can check with Iron Horse on how to do this.
